Daily acts of kindness
This week, take a few moments to do a small thing that makes someone’s day.
I’ll give you an example from my weekend. I flew on Saturday to get home from a conference. (And yes, my flight was canceled, rescheduled, and then delayed)
While going through security, we heard one gentleman ask a TSA worker if he was getting paid. He said “no.” The gentleman responded with a simple “thank you for your service.”
It was such a small thing. But you could tell it meant a lot to the person he was talking to.
The world is hard enough. Let’s be part of this movement to lift others up. In good times and in hard times. After all, you never know what someone is going through.
Need some ideas for this week’s challenge? Try one of these:
- Give a hug.
- Smile and say something nice to a sibling or friend.
- Say thank you after a meal.
- Take coffee to a friend
- Share a story with your pet.

(P.S. I’m so thankful for the workers who keep showing up for a job they’re not currently getting paid for so that I could get home to my family over the weekend.)
