In the new cut, director H Vinoth and his team have reportedly made all the cuts and mutes instructed by the CBFC’s first committee.
Once Jana Nayagan gets submitted before the censor board’s revising committee, the producer, KVN Productions is expected to withdraw the case against the CBFC. Now, the grapevine suggest that Thalapathy Vijay’s final film is highly likely to be released on February 19 to 20, 2026. The new speculations started doing rounds after an alleged screenshot from an overseas distributor’s website got leaked online.
However, both Thalapathy Vijay and the Jana Nayagan team have been remaining tight-lipped about the new release date, so far. If the upcoming action thriller misses the February 2026 release, the makers will have to wait till the Tamil Nadu elections end, to release the film. In that case, the next probable release date will be in May 2026.
