As the Thalapathy Vijay starrer got re-submitted before committee, the makers of the film recently withdrew the case against the censor board. However, there are still some formalities pending for the film.
As per the latest reports, the withdrawal notice from the Madras High Court has not been officially submitted to the CBFC, yet. The grapevine suggests that revising committee appointed by the censor board will find a date to review the film and issue the certificate, only after they officially receive the case withdrawal notice from the court.
If things get delayed again, a theatrical release on February 19 or 20, 2026 will be impossible. In that case, the next viable option for the Jana Nayagan release, will be February 27, 2026 or the first week of March 2026.
