Good morning. I was reminded of a great quote recently. It’s from the great tennis player Billie Jean King – “Pressure is a privilege.”
Why? Because it’s a positive force that helps you grow.
When the responsibilities are closing in, flip your mindset. Many of the things that bring on the “pressure” are also what push you to be a better person (kids, a big project, etc.) It’s not a coincidence. So, while it’s heavy at times, that’s just you learning and transforming.
Pressure is difficult. But it’s also beautiful.

In the 2012, Spanish athlete Ivan Fernandez Anaya was running second in a cross-country race in the Navarre region of Northern Spain.
Ahead of him was Abel Mutai. He had won a bronze medal at the London Olympic Games. And was certain to win.
Astonishingly, Mutai stopped ten meters before the finish line. He mistakenly thought he had crossed the line.
Instead of speeding past and taking 1st place for himself, Fernandez Anaya stopped and encouraged his competitor to keep running and claim his first prize.
Fernandez Anaya knew he wouldn’t have bridged the gap. So he took the high road and helped his competitor.
