Ghilli, the 2004-released blockbuster had a second re-release in theatres recently, to the much delight of the Thalapathy Vijay fans. The Dharani starrer is now having yet another impressive run in theatres.

Recently, the Ghilli was released in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Pondicherry, and Andhra Pradesh. The Thalapathy Vijay starrer has been screened in 275 screens in 250 locations across 110 cities. The movie has reportedly sold around 50,000 tickets. As per the latest updates from the trades sources, the movie has now earned a gross collection of around Rs 1 crore on its first day.

The Ghilli re-release is reportedly earning a huge amount on the second day compared to the first day. Advance bookings for the film are going crazy. Nearly 60 thousand tickets have been sold. Trade sources have revealed that the film is likely to earn a gross collection of Rs 1.25 crore on the second day. It is estimated that the film will collect Rs 2.25 crore in two days.

Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan appear in the lead role in Ghilli, which is a remake of the Telugu super hit Okkadu. The movie was released in 2004 and became an industry hit. The film was directed by Dharani. Ghilli was produced by A.M. Ratnam under the banner of Srisurya Movies. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Ashish Vidyarthi, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam and others.
