Good morning. It’s funny how the little things we overlook can end up being the things that bring us back to ourselves. Maybe today is the day you follow that quiet pull toward something you love. Even if it’s just for twenty minutes.

For years, Laura’s days revolved around everyone else. She packed lunches, answered emails, ran errands, folded laundry, and somehow kept the entire household moving. By the time evening came, she would sink onto the couch, exhausted, telling herself she’d do something for herself tomorrow.
Tomorrow kept getting pushed further away.
One afternoon, while cleaning out a drawer, she found her old watercolor set. The brushes were stiff, and the paints were dusty, but holding them brought back a feeling she hadn’t felt in years. She remembered how peaceful it used to feel to sit by the window and paint.
That night, instead of scrolling on her phone, she set up a small space at the kitchen table and painted.
It wasn’t perfect. The colors bled together, and the picture looked nothing like what she imagined. But something inside her softened. For the first time in a long while, she felt calm… and a little like herself again.
Twenty minutes turned into a small habit. A few nights a week, she painted. Sometimes the kids watched, sometimes the house was quiet. Slowly, she realized something important:
Taking time for herself didn’t take away from her family.
But it did give her back a piece of herself she didn’t realize she’d been missing.
