The director is reportedly planning to begin the post-production works of the film, only after the release of the Jailer sequel.
The latest updates suggest that KH x RK will start rolling only after Rajinikanth wraps up the filming of his next outing, Thalaivar 173 directed by Cibi Chakravarthy, and Kamal Haasan completes the filming of Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, and the upcoming Anbarivu directorial. As per the reports, the Nelson directorial will start rolling only by October or November of 2026.
Now, the grapevine suggests that director Nelson Dilipkumar and producers Red Giant Movies are keen to have to release the upcoming Kamal Haasan – Rajinikanth starrer during the Ayudha Pooja 2027 season.
