Thaai Kizhavi, which was released without a major pre-release hype, has now emerged as the surprise blockbuster from Tamil cinema in 2026. As it completed the first 20 days of its release, Radhika’s film has now crossed ₹70 crore mark.

As expected, the rural comedy drama produced by popular actor Sivakarthikeyan, has now earned the blockbuster status at the box office. According to the latest reports by Koimoi, Thaai Kizhavi has now crossed the prestigious ₹70 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The Radhika Sarathkumar starrer has reportedly achieved this major milestone within the first 20 days of its theatrical release.

The recent updates suggest that Thaai Kizhavi has now collected over ₹71 crore from the worldwide box office run. The all-India (domestic) collections of the rural comedy drama film has now crossed the ₹60 crore mark. If things proceed at the same rate, the Sivakumar Murugesan directorial will cross the ₹80 crore mark at the box office within its lifetime run.

Thaai Kizhavi OTT, Plot, Cast And More

As reported earlier, Thaai Kizhavi is gearing up to make its grand OTT debut on popular streaming platform Jio Hotstar, by the end of March 2026. The Sivakumar Murugesan directorial is expected to stream on the platform in at least five languages, including the Tamil original, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. An official announcement on the Thaai Kizhavi OTT release date is expected to be out very soon.

Radhika Sarathkumar appears as the central character Pavunuthayi in Thaai Thaai Kizhavi, which features Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, Muthukumar, Raichal Rabecca and others in the supporting roles. Nivas K Prasanna composed the songs and the original score. Vivek Vijayakumar is the director of photography. San Lokesh handles the editing of Thaai Kizhavi, which is produced by Sivakarthikeyan and Sudhan Sundaram, under the banners Sivakarthikeyan Productions and Passion Studios.
