Recently, it was speculated that Mani Ratnam is finally ending his professional collaboration with legendary musician AR Rahman, after 34 years. It was even reported that the veteran filmmaker approached Sai Abhyankkar for his next outing.

As expected, these speculation deeply upset the Mani Ratnam and AR Rahman fans, who have been following the duo’s iconic collaborations right from Roja, which was released in 1992. However, the iconic duo has now confirmed that they have no plans to part ways, and are continuing their association even on the 34th year, with the upcoming Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi starrer.

Recently, the iconic filmmaker’s home banner Madras Talkies took to their official social media handles and dropped a special announcement poster. Mani Ratnam is now returning to the filmmaking after the massive failure of the Kamal Haasan starrer Thug Life, with the upcoming untitled romantic drama film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi. The new update has left the Tamil cinema lovers, highly excited.

With the new announcement poster, Mani Ratnam and his team have also put an end to the rumours which suggested that Sai Abhyankkar is replacing AR Rahman in the untitled project. As per the official updates, the Academy award-winning musician is still very much a part of the Vijay Sethupathi, Sai Pallavi starrer, and is composing both the songs and original score for the much-awaited project.
