According to the filmmaker, the film’s story is set in the Ramanathapuram area of Tamil Nadu, in the backdrop against the year 1991. Kara Samy, who had walked away from certain things in his life, is forced to face them again. He tries to protect and guide the people who trusted him, helping them reach safety.. It’s an emotional and intense journey set in a turbulent time.

Just like the present day situation, the oil depots were being bombed back then as well, which was causing massive fires and destruction.
