A Brilliant, Bouncy Party at Top Jump in Sheffield

When Top Jump emailed to invite us to their huge inflatable park in Sheffield, we fittingly jumped at the chance to visit (sorry for the Dad Joke)!

Taking my niece Lily (6) and daughter Florence (3 1/2) with us, we marked it as an early birthday celebration for ‘Lils’ who turns 7 in a couple of weeks.

I think the biggest kids amongst us however, were my husband, Peter, and I, as we jumped around, squeeling with delight, and felt genuinely sad when it was time to go home at the end of the day. Ha!

With brightly coloured climbing walls, big and small, slippery slides to suit kids of all heights and ages (and parents too), fun obstacle courses, tunnels, mountains, mazes, and soft, bouncy playareas in one huge inflatable park, our collective experience was excellent in every single way.

The inflatables were bouncy enough to jump around on with ease without feeling dangerous in any way. Phew. Plus, thw pop songs playing throughout were age-appropriate and not overwhelmingly loud thankfully, which is so often the case with soft plays and parties (I couldn’t help busting some Mum Moves to the 90s dance hits, much to my husband’s dismay) and the park is fully air conditioned too keeping everyone cool whilst they jumped.

We all took it in turns to scream with joy bounding down the slides, often sliding down simultaneously, side by side, holding hands. Yipee!

The girls enjoyed climbing the floaty frames and giant, bouncy hills but my favourites were definitely the slides.

Some of the bigger ones were utterly thrilling to a scaredy-cat like me, but I followed those little fearless girls’ lead, who slid down even the biggest drops without a single pause or worry.

The fact you have handles to climb up larger slides and obstacles makes it easy and safe to enjoy the inflatables, and there’s so much to choose to do there, it really is suitable for all.

The sweet (mildy competitive) cousins would race one another up the air-filled mountains and trees in the centre of the park, wanting to reach the top first, and together we navigated our way round the maze, pushed through tunnels and played Catch. Quality time like no other. Reconnecting with your inner child as a parent/ aunt whilst having fun with your family really is peak joy!

No stress, just the chance to make core memories and meaningfully connect with the kids.

The staff were welcoming from the minute we arrived and attentive and genuinely kind throughout.

There were also staff present on the inflatables at all times, ensuring everyone was safe, and after our hour long jumping session, it was party time in one of their private party rooms.

We were grateful to find top-notch food with delicious, and suprisingly large pizzas per person; hearty burgers, bowls of varied crisps and heaps of fresh, tropical fruit followed by tubs of low sugar ice cream for dessert. What a feast!

There was a self-serve drinks machine so you could choose from two flavours of fruity squash, or water and you could order hot drinks and extra snacks if you wanted to (the coffee was great quality), from the shop there at any time during your visit.

What brilliant, bouncy fun, and food. We’ll be back!

We loved every minute.
