Actor, writer and producer Pallavi Chatterjee is working in the industry for the last 3 decades. She started with the Bengali film ‘Paapi directed by Prabhat Roy. She has done about more than 150 Films, 60 Tv Serials, 50 short films & also many plays.
Sharing her journey Pallavi says,” For me the most Important thing is to satisfy & entertain my audience and above all I am a Director’s Actor .
From a very young age I have always loved playing strong characters. I like to play a role which my Director or the Casting Director feels right for me. I feel we ” Actors” are only here to perform and to be part of the Film / Series/ Shows Not give tension.
We need to be patient and be prepared all the time as nobody knows kab ” Apna Time Ayega ???
Last year we saw Pallavi in an important role in Neeraj Pandey’s “Khakee The Bengal Chapter” . On this Pallavi says,”I was extremely happy to be part of ” Khakee ( The Bengal Chapter ” , though the character was very small but, it was a significant one and I got an opportunity to work in Neeraj Pandey’s production. Though I never got to meet him . Also my Director Debatma Mondol was really great. It was lovely to have scenes with Chitrangda Singh. She is amazing on screen and offscreen as a person as well.”
Pallavi also adds,”I think OTT has opened up a huge opportunity to the actors, writers , creative people & technicians . It has given employment to All . So many Actors got acknowledged , appreciated & recognition, an opportunity to showcase everyone’s talent . The content & actors in OTT are very Real & Normal. It has also given viewers an opportunity to be exposed not only to Indian content but, also globally. You can actually get to watch the good national & international content within a minute , infact we are spoilt for choices . The making , storytelling & acting has also changed a lot.
Pallavi, who has been working for so long believes destiny and luck also plays a huge role in the industry but one should always put their 100 % effort & dedication. She says,”I don’t know what is stronger ” Destiny/Universe or The Supreme Lord” I feel Believe in God and in yourself and just carry on doing what You want .
Think and Believe ” I AM UNSTOPABLE”.
