This summer, McDonald’s is giving thousands of kids aged 5-11 the chance to play football for free with Fun Football Festivals – all you need to do is turn up and play.
That’s exactly what my son, Alexander and I did on Saturday, in Leeds city centre where my football-loving kid spent hours of fun honing his footie skills with professional coaches. I enjoyed a kick about myself and some beautiful hand painting to boot. Get it?!
My son was particularly impressed that I got the bull’s eye when it came to my aim and that was only on my second try. I’m going to bank that he got his excellent skills thanks to me!
McDonald’s Fun Football sessions are simply brilliant. They aim to give every child, regardless of circumstance, gender and ability, the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful game – for free! Fun Football is for everyone – ability doesn’t matter!
It’s all about getting kids active over the summer (whatever the weather-Leeds poured it down for us) and giving them the chance to run around, having fun with their family and friends.
