Beautiful Perfume and Potion Kits By Youth And Wild

I’m always on the hunt for fun, exciting and educational toys and activities for my daughter, Florence, 3 and a 1/2. She’s far more mature than her years thanks to having two older brothers aged 15 and 12 respectively, and I’m sure it helps to have a former teacher in both myself, her mum, and her grandmother, who helps with the childcare.

We were kindly gifted an Enchanted Potion Kit by the brilliant, sustainable and environmentally-friendly Youth and Wild and I immediately purchased another kit a few weeks later. That’s how super they are. Perfect for gifts, rainy or sunny days playtime, and parties too, if you haven’t heard of them, you need to purchase them, and quick!

Nostalgia-inducing (I spent my childhood creating perfumes from flowers in my folks’ garden and drops of my mum’s various perfumes), I knew that Florence would enjoy these kits where science meets art in an engaging and interactive way.

The kit we sampled first that was a kind gift, is billed as the ultimate magical kit on the brand’s website and it sure delivered on that promise-it is full of dreamy fizzing and foaming ingredients, plus beautiful scents and entertained Florence and then the following day, my niece Lily, for hours! Featuring starry named ingredients such as Fairy Flutters, Dreamy Sunbeams, Precious Pixie Dust and Magical Moonstones – it nurtured their creativity and inspired some enchanting potions and perfumes!

Each kit contains 8 sachets of ingredients in biodegradable bags no less (listed below), plus a mini fizzy heart bomb! It also includes a natural wooden stirring stick, a wooden scoop for measuring out ingredients, a test tube to mix potions in and a pipette to drop water onto your potions with!

The kit is UKCA tested, plus it is posted in a box that fits through your letterbox, so there’s no need to be in for delivery.

Playing with your kids really is the greatest joy a parent can have, I feel. It allows you to reconnect with your inner child and lose yourself in the present moment.
