Recently, it was reported that the long-delayed Karthi starrer directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which is reportedly titled Kaithi 2: Dilli, is indeed happening. Reportedly, the censor certificate copy of Kaithi 2: Dilli title teaser which was leaked online recently, is indeed authentic. Interestingly, the grapevine suggest that Karthi and director Lokesh Kanagaraj are finally gearing up to start working on their long-delayed project. If things go as planned, the Kaithi sequel will have its official launch in March 2026.

As per the reports, Karthi and team are planning to officially launch the Kaithi 2: Dilli title teaser on March 14, 2026, on the special occasion of director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s birthday. Along with the title teaser, the makers are also planning to release the first poster of the prestigious project, which will feature the versatile actor in the titular role, on the same day.

According to the grapevine, writer-director Lokesh Kanagaraj has already finished the scripting of Kaithi 2: Dilli, which is the fifth installment of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), after Kaithi, Vikram, Leo, and the upcoming project Benz. The Karthi starrer is expected to go on floors soon after the talented filmmaker completes the filming of his debut Telugu film, starring Allu Arjun.
