As expected, Karuppu is not releasing in April 2026, but the makers have decided to push the film’s release to May 2026, after the Tamil Nadu assembly elections are completed.
“Karuppu – 14-05-2026… Blockbuster summer begins !!!” wrote the talented filmmaker, who shared the release date, along with a new poster of the film, on his X handle. As the post suggests, Karuppu will hit the theatres on Thursday, May 14, 2026, as its leading man Suriya’s first theatrical release of this year. The new update came out as a big relief for the Nadippin Nayagan’s fans, who were miffed with the film’s makers for delaying the release indefinitely.
