Kenatha Kanom OTT Rights: The Tamil comedy-drama Kenatha Kanom, headlined by actor Yogi Babu, has arrived in theatres today, March 13, 2026. Directed by the late Suresh Sangaiah, the film marks the filmmaker’s posthumous release after Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu and Sathiya Sothanai. The new release brings together elements of social commentary and humour while following an unusual discovery made by villagers struggling with a basic need.

Set against the backdrop of a water shortage, the story focuses on a group of villagers who decide to address their crisis by digging for water. What begins as a practical effort to deal with scarcity soon takes an unexpected turn. During the digging process, the villagers uncover dinosaur fossils buried beneath the land, a discovery that triggers a series of events involving authorities and outside intervention.

As the news of the discovery spreads, the situation escalates beyond the control of the villagers. Government agencies step in, leading to a sudden shift in the power dynamics within the village. What started as a community effort to resolve a local problem gradually grows into a larger issue involving officials, regulations and competing interests. Actor Yogi Babu plays the central role in the film, supported by a cast that includes Lovelyn Chandrasekar, Raichel Rebecca, Ramakrishnan, George Mariyam, Kavitha Bharathi and Rajendiran.

Behind the camera, Kenatha Kanom has been written and directed by Suresh Sangaiah. The project has been produced by R. Ramesh Babu and Jegan Baskaran under the banners RB Talkies and Box Office Studio. Cinematography for the film has been handled by V. Thiyagarajan, while the music has been composed by Nivas K. Prasanna. Lyrics for the songs were written by Madurai R. Muralidaran, Mohanraja and Jegan Kaviraj.

The film’s technical team also includes editor R. Ramar and art director P. L. Subenthar. Sound design and mixing were overseen by Lakshminarayanan AS, with colour grading carried out by Vels – D Studio Post and G. Muthu. A. R. Amalraj served as the executive producer, and the project involved a wider crew including associate and assistant directors working alongside the filmmaker.

While Kenatha Kanom has begun its theatrical run today, reports indicate that the film’s digital streaming rights have already been acquired. According to available information, the OTT rights have been secured by JioHotstar, suggesting that the film will later be made available on the platform after its run in cinemas. However, an official announcement regarding the film’s streaming details has not yet been made.

For now, the film is playing in theatres from March 13, giving audiences the opportunity to watch the story on the big screen before it eventually moves to digital streaming.
