Kids Eat Free At Byron This Summer

Posted on

Byron are simply bangin’ full stop. Chicken, beef and vegan burgers galore; sweet potato fries, crispy fries, creamy macaroni cheese and every topping you could imagine or desire with caramelised onions, streaky bacon, melted cheese and more. Chicken wings marinated in BBQ sauce are my kids’ favourites with some tangy ranch sauce on the side.

Kids eating free this summer is such a bonus on top, as is enjoying a cocktail or two with Byron’s new summer menu spanning the below:

  • Aperol Spritz – The ultimate warm-weather classic.

  • Hugo Spritz – A fresh, floral twist perfect for garden-day vibes.

  • Limoncello Spritz – Zingy, refreshing, and sunshine-approved.

  • Sarti Spritz – Your new go-to summer sip – bursting with blood orange, mango, and passion fruit.

  • Espresso Martini-Classic coffee based cocktail that’s indulgent and gives you a kick.

My husband Peter, and I plumped for a refreshing Aperol Spritz, and my punchy go to: an Espresso Martini which never fails to wake me up!

Not drinking? Not a problem at Byron. These non-alcoholic mocktails will blow your mind!

  • Crodino Spritz – Complex and grown-up, minus the booze.

  • Nomosa – A non-alcoholic twist on the brunch favourite mimosa.

Kids eating free* plus delicious, filling burgers and sweet cocktails equals happy summer days.

We headed to their York branch, managed by the affable and attentive Phil who ensured we were all happy, well fed and that our drinks were topped up and took our usual table (we’re regulars) in the light and bright conservatory in the back enjoying our Sunday lunch feast.

Byron is a celebrated business with 9 restaurants in the UK. Opening its doors back in 2007 after Byron’s founder returned from the US inspired to introduce indulgent and satisfying burgers to the UK. Since then, Byron has taken pride in rustling up premium burgers which reflect classic US flavours whilst using local suppliers to ensure quality and be as sustainable as possible.

They’ve worked with Alden’s, a Oxford based family run butcher since 1793, to create their signature Byron patties, sourcing their beef in the South West of England before select cuts are then dry aged to bring out a deeper meatier flavour before being ground into their famous Byron patties.

Don’t eat meat? Don’t worry, Byron has you covered. They’re proud to partner with industry-leading plant-based brands such as Beyond Meat, TiNDLE, and La Vie and are inclusive too, catering for gluten-free and halal requirements. My eldest son said their gluten-free bun is the best he’s ever tasted and on a blind taste test he said he wouldn’t know the difference between that and a standard burger bap!

They have an incredible work culture, all of their staff look genuinely happy and are knowledgable about the food, allergens and offers.

Byron also give back to their communities, most recently working with Trussel Trust, a UK foodbank donation service, to help support their invaluable work.

A brilliant business selling brilliant burgers.

What a fab Sunday.
