LIK was moved out of the February 2026 race because the makers are keen to get a solo release for the film, and wanted to avoid clashing with Thalapathy Vijay’s delayed final film, Jana Nayagan. However, they were planning to release the Pradeep Ranganathan starrer in April 2026, after Jana Nayagan moved out of the race completely.
But now, Love Insurance Kompany has been delayed indefinitely due to the Middle East war, and the uncertainty surrounding film releases in that region. Well, it is quite obvious that none of the films can afford to miss out on a massive overseas region like the UAE and GCC, and it is the biggest market for Indian films outside the country. So, the team is planning to wait till July 2026, to release the film.
