This touch and feel Halloween game brings just the right amount of creepy mystery and hands-on fun to your party or family night. From eyeballs to brains, the real fright is in the feel!
Ready to gross them out (in the best way)?
I had SO much fun with this game! And my kids thought it was equally as exciting, with lots of “ewws” and giggles. (Even my teen loved it!) The options are only limited by your imagination, so play as many rounds as you want with different things.
Note: The beauty of this game is that you can use things you already have!
Ideas In This Halloween Mystery Touch Game
If you’re using the free printable, here’s what’s in the game, and what items you need.
8 Bags and a Sharpie
Tarantula legs: Cut pipe cleaners
Witch tongue: A banana cut in half
Monster teeth: Cat treats, but you could use chicken feed or anything hard and small
Mummy eyes: Stuffed olives, but you could also use peeled grapes
Zombie fingers: Small whole pickles
Goblin ears: Dried apricots
Monster brain: A wet sponge or cold cooked noodles
Ghost poop: Cotton balls or marshmallows (or nothing haha!)
How to Set Up the Halloween Sensory Game
It’s so easy!
- Label your 8 paper bags 1-8.
- Stick each item in each bag.
- Invite the kids to feel without looking and guess what it is! I had my kids write the number of the bag next to the Halloween name, and then what they thought the actual item in the bag was.
- Check their answers at the end. The child who guesses the most correctly wins!

More Ideas For Your Halloween Touch & Feel Game

- Q tip: skeleton bones
- Tines of a plastic fork: vampire teeth
- Soft flour tortilla or beef jerky: skin (can add a little oil)
- Cornsilk: hair

- Slivered almonds: fingernails

Can you do something besides Halloween mystery bags?
I’ve seen dressed up Kleenex boxes on Pinterest that are adorable for a “Halloween mystery box.” You can also have one big box where you cut holes for the arms and add in the items one at a time. These ideas are awesome, but not as practical if you’re short on time or energy. In my busy mom life, bags work just as well without all the effort.
