Hilarious Would You Rather For Kids That Bond You Instantly

I’ve been thinking about how life is all about the view.

Rose colored glasses make you a little naive. Which is the reason so many people watch and read the news. They want to stay informed.

And I get it. Except.

The news has a few flaws. First, one basic fact can be spun 10 different ways, depending on what you see. Second, news publications make money when you get hooked. The best way to hook? Scare your audience. Make them think the sky is falling so they stick around.

Why is this bad for you? Well, when you are exposed to hours of doom and gloom news cycles, you’ll start to see that view everywhere.

  • Instead of spring is beautiful, you’ll think the allergy count is way up!
  • Instead of yay, I saved $10 you’ll think what does it matter, the economy is tanking.

This type of thinking leaves you stuck. It’s hard to make personal change when your brain only sees the bad. Or when you’re paralyzed with fear.

So, this week, pay attention to how others are encouraging you to see the world.

And consider this: the world’s most impactful leaders are (and were) this way because they don’t follow the crowd. They focus on what they can control and spend their time pushing light into the darkness.

For you, this might mean a little less news or a different way of consuming it.

(As a personal example, I unsubscribed from an email newsletter last week for this reason. It was informative. But I also didn’t like the way I felt after reading. He was using market volatility to sell products. It’s ok for me to say “no thank you” and move on.)

Have a family night this week.

Spring is all about renewal and growth, like setting aside intentional time to reconnect with loved ones.

A family night offers a chance to slow down, share laughs, and enjoy each other’s company. This can be just as refreshing as the season itself.

Spring’s fresh energy renews my spirit.
