Bravo has put The Real Housewives of Miami on pause at Bravo, a source has confirmed with The Hollywood Reporter.
The Miami-based Real Housewives entry aired its last episode, the final reunion part to its seventh season, in October 2025. News on the future of the franchise being put on “pause” arose amid reports of filming already being delayed alongside a potential cast shakeup.
The series debuted on Bravo in 2011, but was brought to a halt in 2013. RHOM was initially rebooted after eights years off air with its fourth season in 2021 on Peacock, not for Bravo. Season four saw the return of original Housewives Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippin, Lisa Hochstein, Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton (with the latter two women being shifted to “friend” status), and the addition of Guerdy Abraira, Nicole Martin and Martina Navratilova. Kiki Barth also joined season four as a friend.
The series ran exclusively on Peacock for two years and officially returned home to Bravo for season six in late 2023.
Notably, in October 2025, just ahead of the end of RHOM season seven, Alexia’s now ex-husband Todd Nepola filed a defamation lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal Media and production company Purveyors of Pop. He alleged he was defamed in the show’s past two seasons, noting that he was “falsely” portrayed as “financially irresponsible or suffering from financial distress, despite his multimillion-dollar real estate portfolio and long-standing business reputation.”
Todd additionally alleged that his name and likeness were used on RHOM without his consent. In late December, he dismissed the lawsuit against the network with prejudice.
Stephanie Shojaee joined the cast for season seven, which received a polarizing reception from viewers. Despite discontent surrounding contents of the latest installment, the Bravosphere has generally shown love towards the series, making it one of the most underrated show’s from the Real Housewives franchise.
Executive producer Matt Anderson addressed RHOM‘s underrated status in an interview with THR in August 2025.
“I think that the fan engagement with this show in particular, because I think they feel in a way responsible for bringing it back, [fans] want to make sure everything is being done for it,” Anderson said. “I like the conversation, because when people start talking about it, there’s more awareness about the show.”
Kathleen French, svp of NBCUniversal Entertainment’s unscripted current production, agreed that the series is “a little bit of the unsung hero on the Housewives franchise right now.”
“I just want to see viewers find it, become fans and love the show as much as we do, because we just think it’s spectacular. We love the cast, we love Miami as a backdrop. It’s multicultural; these women are from all over the world,” she said. “There’s so many things about it [that] you’re not going to see in any of the other Housewives franchises.”
