How This Left-Right Football Game Works

Everyone sits in a circle with a football (or a small prize) to start. Read the prompts aloud one by one, and follow whatever passing directions you hear, LEFT or RIGHT.

The football travels fast, the room gets loud, and everyone ends up laughing!

At the end of the last prompt, whoever is holding the football wins the prize.

It’s simple, silly, and perfect for big groups.

Just like with our Super Bowl Football Predictions Game, this Super Bowl game is a fun and easy activity that’s perfect for family gatherings, classroom competitions, or watch parties with friends.

Supplies Needed

To play, you’ll want:

• The printed Pass The Football Left-Right game sheet (download below)
• A small football or plush ball
• A small prize for the winner (see ideas below!)

How to Play the Super Bowl Football Left Right Game

1. Have everyone sit or stand in a circle.

2. Give the football to the starting player.

3. Read each prompt aloud clearly.

4. Simply follow the directions. Each prompt will tell you to pass the ball LEFT or RIGHT a certain number of times.

5. Whoever is holding the football after the last prompt wins!

This is one of those games where chaos is the fun. We like to switch around our spots and play again!

Football Left Right Game Questions

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the questions you will find on the printable:

• Count the number of letters in your first and last name. Pass the football that many times to the LEFT.

• How many siblings do you have? Pass the ball to the LEFT for each one.

• How many players are wearing red? Pass the ball that many times to the RIGHT.

• If your shoes have laces, pass RIGHT twice. If not, pass LEFT twice.

• If you ate breakfast today, pass LEFT three times. If not, pass RIGHT five times.

• How many pets do you have? Pass the ball that many times to the RIGHT.

• What month were you born in? Pass the ball RIGHT that number of times.

• If you prefer pizza over burgers, pass LEFT TWICE. If burgers win, pass RIGHT twice.

• How many players are wearing long sleeves? Pass the football that many times to the LEFT.

• If you’ve ever been to a football game, pass RIGHT three times. If not, pass LEFT three times.
