Youth OTT Release: The Tamil coming-of-age romantic comedy Youth is preparing for its theatrical release later this month, with the film scheduled to arrive in cinemas on March 19. The project is written and directed by Ken Karunas, who also takes on the lead role. The film marks his directorial debut as well as his first outing as a lead actor after appearing in supporting roles in films such as Asuran and Vaathi.

Produced by Karuppiah C. Ram and Sulochana Kumar, Youth brings together a cast that includes Anishma Anilkumar, Devadarshini, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Priyanshi Yadav, Meenakshi Dinesh and Abison Thevarasa. The film’s music has been composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while the cinematography has been handled by Viki and editing by Nash.

The story follows Praveen, a 15-year-old boy navigating the early stages of adolescence. As he approaches the end of his school years, he becomes determined to experience what he believes is true love before leaving school. His search leads him through a series of relationships that bring both excitement and disappointment. Through these experiences, the character gradually begins to understand the complexities of emotions and relationships, shaping the way he views love and maturity.

Youth: Cast, Technical Team And OTT Release Update

Ken Karunas portrays Praveen in the film, while Anishma Anilkumar appears alongside him in a key role. Veteran actor Devadarshini and Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu are also part of the cast, along with Priyanshi Yadav, Meenakshi Dinesh and Abison Thevarasa. The ensemble contributes to the narrative that follows Praveen’s personal journey during a transitional phase in his life.

Behind the scenes, the film features a technical team that includes art director Ramu Thangaraj and costume designer Kavya Sriram. Creative producer Vijay MP has also been involved in the project, with Chelladurai B. serving as head of production. Arokia Victor and Prince M. are credited as executive producers, while Tejesh Suresh worked as the project consultant. The production team also includes associate producer Abdul Rahuman Fahim and administration executive Suresh Kumar.

Additional work on the film includes choreography by Shobi Paulraj and stunt coordination by Kalai Kingson. The sound design has been handled by Sync Cinema, with Aravind Menon overseeing the sound mix. Visual effects were completed by Renderhood, and the digital intermediate work was carried out by Suresh Ravi at Mango Post.

While Youth is set to make its theatrical debut on March 19, reports suggest that the film has already secured a streaming platform for its digital release. According to a report by OTTplay, the film is expected to stream on Netflix after its run in cinemas. The digital release is tentatively expected sometime in mid-April and is reported to be available in multiple languages.

For now, the makers are preparing for the theatrical launch next week, with audiences set to watch the film on the big screen when it releases in theatres on March 19.
